Our objective is to have input for a needs assessment. Those who have expressed interest and representatives of LGBT support and social groups, as well as the general public, are encouraged to get involved. _______________________________________________________________________________
COMMITTEES The Community outreach committee is the public relations committee. Today's goals are to identify and develop relationships with relavent stakeholders, ensure that there is a consistent message, and assist with the distribution of information, surveys, multimedia, and other forms of communication to our community.
The Research committee gathers relevant information that will define our goals and mission through creating reports, identifying grantor sources, and compiling statistics, data, and funding opportunities. Developing needs assessments and other survey research.
The Physical plant committee is responsible for scouting the location, defining the space function, sustainability planning, ensuring accessibility, and planning for all aspects of property management. The committee will make recommendations based on the research, outreach, administration, and finance committees' input.
The Administrative / Financial committee is creating a draft of operating procedures, including accounting, budgetary, sustainability, and overall organizational structure of The Pride Center of The Blue Ridge, working to identify an executive director, and developing a relationship with our city and county government.
